The Ghost Dance War

There was a skirmish near Holy Rosary Mission on Tuesday, December 30th. It's known as the Drexel Mission Fight or the Battle of the Mission. Black Elk saw the carnage and did all he could to remove people to safety. He returned to Pine Ridge at night and found his mother and others fearing for their lives. The next day he went with a friend, he crowed to Holy Rosary mission. They fled here because they felt the Jesuits could intercede. Keep the Army from coming here to do what they've done it.
