If congress can borrow, or the fed can print, to kick the can a little further down the road, you can be sure they'll try their hardest to do this. Means testing, if you're well off enough, you may only receive a discounted percentage of the social security benefits paid to others worse off than you. And i didn't even touch on how a continued bear market and a recession could wipe out much of whatever equity the bottom 90 % owns in their four or one cas and their homes.
