The Temple of Apollo at Delphi

The glint of gold and silver would have hurt your eyes to walk up to that sanctuary. Creases gave a gold bowl that weighed 500 pounds, and that was displayed. Every treasure part of it had probably had its doors open. There would have been hundreds of bronze statues, a forest of statues in every direction. And we don't actually know how it was set up under the temple, because the temple of Apollo was pulled apart and laid antiquity for its building materials. The God was not pleased and so he punished his instrument.
