Symantec's Response to XCP Rootkit

A computer consultant from New York discovered a rootkit in one of his client's machines and traced it back to a music CD by Sony BMG. It took another week or two until FSecure managed to convince Sony BMG to create an uninstaller for their rogue software but by then it was too late. The only thing that makes this rootkit legitimate is that a multinational corporation put it on your computer, not a criminal organization.
