In Japan, there are like so many official events that you can go to meet people. There's a lot of Facebook groups actually for the Otaku community. One thing I know that doesn't work is to just go up to someone and be like, Hey, I'm this person. Here's my business card. Call me. Do not be fooled by Malene's nervousness. She is a killer.
