I went to a Hasidic primary school that was like an exception even for the Hasidic community. It wasn't just a lack of secular education, it was they had very harsh cultural punishment. I would come home very regularly with bruises and some kids had broken bones. The hygiene standards were awful. Like the food was moldy. So you know, these pesky little things like good food and clean toilets doesn't matter. And also a lack of money to run it? A lack of funding, yeah. Also a lack of interest.
