The Importance of Storytelling

When we work with scientists to try to help them communicate better, when we bring up the subject of story, we say, tell us your story. I didn't even think we'd talk about this, but I really am curious about your understanding of what makes a story. How did you acquire that notion of story? Everybody has multiple stories to tell.
