The Poetry of Tradition

The poetry of tradition is really rather vast, yes? And it's intended to be part of practice, and yet doesn't seem to be used quite that way. The sanscrit aesthetic tradition goes back to the vedik tradition, which was all poems. All the vedic montres are also poems. They are not just personal poems, but theyr poems of offering to the divinities of nature. So you have a young 11 year old rama crishna, who sees a cloud in the sky and faints in ecstasy. In the aesthetic traditions of india, he's considered a rasika, someone who is really able to taste the rust.
