"I think that, sadly, the people that would benefit most from like a nuanced conversation between two people who really are trying to reclaim the old ground of how people used to discuss things," he says. "We might not get it right 100% of the time, but if you come at it with the attitude that there is a template in play and psychological operations are real, then most of the time I think you can figure it out ... grace and forbearance are two principles I'd like to see practiced a little more."
