Did Mbappe's Substitutions Have Made a Difference?
France came back from 2-0 down to beat Argentina 3-2 in their World Cup Group D clash. Michael Owen says the changes made by Louis van Gaal's side didn't make a big difference at first. He thinks it was just that they had the odd individual contribution, such as Kylian Mbappe scoring two minutes after he'd scored his second goal of the tournament. Ireland and Tina defender Martin O'Brien thought France should bring on center back Colin Wainey but Van Gaal went with an extra man instead.
