Anica's Critical Criticism of the Modern Mind
Anica contrasts this with a the ancient greek, the hellenic idea of education. He says that an excess of history is dangerous to life in five different ways. Andnita: The whole of modern culture is essentially internal. On the outside, the bookbinder has printed something like handbook of inner culture for external barbarians. Anica: Only by filling and over filling ourselves with alien ages, customs, arts, philosophies, religions and knowledge do we become worthy of notice.
