The Effects of Antidepressants on Metabolic Function
When a cell is metabolically compromised, it can become underactive or not very functional. It can also become overactive or hyper excitable. An overactive brain cell produces many of the symptoms that we see in the mental health field. The reason those medications work, I believe, is because they are suppressing metabolism in those cells. And if you do that, it will make it so that that cell can't function at all.
