What Is the Earliest Written Down Form of the Hebrew Scriptures?

Before 19 forty seven and the discovery of these scrolls, what would have been the earliest written down form of the hebrew scriptures that we would have had? So it's hard to overestimate their importance. Most scholars identify the people who lived at cumran with one of the kind of wings or movements within judaism. It looks like the ple who owned the scrolls, collected them and stuck em in the caves were the essenes.
