Our genes haven't really adapted to dieting and the stress of our day-to-day lives. Our body's always trying to help us out, try to help us survive. And if we're sending these messages to the body like, hey, food is not available or we're under a lot of stress, the body's going to try tohelp us out. That's how we're hardwired. We live in a totally different environment today where our genes are expecting certain things from us to perform a certain way.
