Quiet Quitting

To go above and beyond means to give extra effort, usually in a way that exceeds what is expected. The idea of quiet quitting is about not going above and beyond for a job. You can see how this leads to a vicious cycle. If you go above and Beyond at work, you'll get recognized and maybe get a nice rase or bonus. But now what you just did, that's now expected of you. And the cycle repeats itself. Now we have people quietly quitting.
