When you enter into the age of modernity with Thomas Hobbes and John Locke here you've got the radical departure from the previous Christian and not classical Greek way of understanding what rights are. With John Locke and Hobbes they paint a very strange picture of what the human being supposedly is before we enter into civilized society  very dark picture throughout state.
