The Importance of Accepting Changes in Friendships
Many friendships are mutual and reciprocal. We both needed to be aware of what we both had capacity to give and what needs we could both meet in each other. It can take years to actually really process the ending of a friendship or a relationship, and that can be normal for autistic people. And I do think it's important to acknowledge that neurotypical people as well, like there can be a period of grieving changes in a friendship or the loss of a friendship.
