How Do You Write a Novel?

For me, the most enjoyable part of being an author is focusing on the best book that you can write. I kind of do a lot of sort of deep dive into the historical side of things before i should even begin writing. So i have a retired murdered detectivem here in the u k, who advises authors on their plot lines which are super helpful. Even before i begin the writing process, i kind of run the main ideas through him to check their plausible and how it would work with ellen for example.
