The History of Reality TV in the Netherlands and Flanders

I'm really struck by how much great competition reality TV is coming from the Netherlands and Flanders. Out of that stem a whole lot of copycat shows I don't want or even similar shows that has nothing to do with us. If I have an idea to write a show right now I'm going to have to write it in my free time because I have no credit or no reputation whatsoever as a TV writer. It's very hard to make great content for such a small audience because we're bound by the language barrier. We have to do it in Dutch because the audience speaks Dutch should we be able to do it  in English we would have gained a much larger larger audience.
