The Importance of Recovery Runs in a Training Plan

There's a time and a place for both for both days off, recovery run. More often than not, I try to get my athletes to take a true rest day. Sometimes people just need to run just to get away from work or kind of mentally set themselves. Those are those instances that can be far more beneficial than truly taking a day off with no physical activity.
