Two-year yields at the shorter end of the Treasury maturity spectrum are skyrocketing. It has also meant that yields actually at the long end as well, which move with growth expectations and with inflation expectations, have been rising. So this indicates that maybe the U.S. economy is not quite as strong as people had been expecting. Stocks bottom it out in June, and we've seen a little bit of a pickup since then.

A worse than expected US inflation report triggered a Wall Street sell-off, Twitter whistleblower Peiter Zatko testified in front of a US Senate committee about alleged security lapses at the social media site, and the US is struggling to put together an alliance to address computer chip supply chain issues.
