michel smiths: I read somewhere that you, and i think this is not uncommon, but you really, you didn't want to speak russian. You wanted to leave all that behind you, you wanted to be like everybody else. And so my parents, one hand, as i keep talking about wanting to assimilate and become americans, they never lose sight of there. They never lost sight of their culture and their background. My dad was suggested that he would start paying me five dollars, e, whatever it was, to speak russians at home. It worked. So i did.
