The Problem of Entropy in the Universe
There's a good deal of reason to believe that there is a simple way of specifying what you need in terms of a quantity that comes up in thermodynamics. If we simply added to the dynamical laws we know about a stipulation to the effect that at one end or the other of the temporal axis, this is a physical state whose entropy value is very low. To make this make any sense to make it plausible that even that it even begins to address the task of explaining these asymmetries would take a semester.
