Observing Brains, Is That a Good Idea?
Philip Soha: What would settle this is observing brains, right? Do they call other causal dynamics of the brain reducible to underlineg chemistry? And i think we just don't know enough about the workings of the brain to decide that one way or the other. Theres a real physics argument here. It's not just hand wavy or philosophical assumption. We can be very spe about the domain under which we would expect the equations of the core theory to apply.
