Libertarians and Takeovers
libertarians have been aware of takeover potential for a long time. The new york party, at one point, was taken over by howard's supporters in order to promote his campaign. We saw the reform party get taken over by patrick chanan and his supporters. There are features of the libertarian party structure that were designed to prevent takeovers. But when push comes to shove, you actually have to have people vote to kick affiliates out or punish people for doing horrible things.
