This is the house that Ernest Hemingway lived in between 1931 and 1938. It was here that he lived when he wrote the snows of Kilimanjaro. During the depression Key West was an interesting mix of the very wealthy and the very unwelty. The house features several of Hemingway's portable typewriters.
