Recycle Nuclear Waste to Run a Reactor?
Using nuclear waste to run a reactor seems like the perfect solution. What's the catch? There is so much energy built up in our current spent nuclear fuel that using it in advanced reactors is not a whole or immediate solution. We're already dealing with enough nuclear waste to keep the lights on in america for centuries. So recycling a portion of it, while a good thing, won't solve the larger problem. But doctor finan places even more urgency on addressing climate change.
