The Dogmas of the Church Are Not Merely Borders
When you know that here's a dogma or here are the dogmas of the church. And I can go anywhere I want within that whole boundary, right? Isn't that just ironic? I want to just have a relationship with God. So I don't need any dogmas. But also the dogmas are not merely boundaries. They're also, as the Catechism says in paragraph 89, they're lights along the path of faith. They illuminate it and make it secure. The census Fideh is on the part of the whole people when, quote, from the bishops to the last of the faithful, they manifest universal consent and matters of faith and morals.
