Did Maitian and Fosstick Ever Have an Interaction?

Maitian was highly respected, but you know, he didn't go. If you read his letters, he would quietly go and slip into a church in New York and just listen. He had some sense of teaching Sunday school or being an interim pastor there. But he quickly made enemies. There were some liberals at that church who kind of, kind of did him in a form of a formerPastor Henry Van Dyke. And people would write letters to the editor. I mean, it really was national news when the Presbyterian Church had a fight.
