How to Use Cuff Tubes for the Pediatric Airway
The old-style tubes had a cuff that wasn't very friendly to the pediatric airway. With the new microcuff tubes, these cuffs are more appropriate for the infant airway. They're low-pressure cuffs and they are very compatible with the airway. One of the things that's nice about using them is you then reduce the number of passes of placing a tube properly.
