Sherlock Holmes is the quintessentially rational meaning also not particularly emotive kind of guy as opposed to Watson who may not be that rational but on the other hand is you know he feels for things. It's a very common misreading Sherlock Holmes to say that he's always super rational and doesn't experience emotions until I reread all of the stories at once, she says. "You begin to notice something really interesting which is that Holmes actually experiences all the same emotions that Watson does but he's aware of it and he dismisses them right away"
