Anticoagulants - What Are the Different Groups of Patients?
The most common group that we end up dealing with are those extreme of body weight so very overweight patients. There's increasingly good evidence that standard dosing would be safe for them however we're not quite there yet and being able to just use this for that patient group. Second group is pregnant patients obviously with P-U's or something we always worry about in this patient group. In particular a lot of these drugs do pass through the centre and they're also pass through breast milks or even postpartum patients you need to stop and have a think about delta pyro and all omelet coheparins a good first choice.
