The Effects of Ex-Fast on Intra-Abdominal Injuries
The positive, fast and physical exam continued to be significantly associated with intra-abdominal injury. The initial ex-fast sensitivity was 88%. The negative predictive value of the ex-fast was 97.3%. It's a good starting point to think about some of those quality improvement studies where you might be using fast as part of a cluster of decision-making tools that you're going to use to help inform further care.
