The Best Evidence Against Sweeney
The best evidence against Sweeney came from his wife Peggy in her confession but there were a few problems number one Peggy was known to be intellectually challenged. It would not be surprising if her statements confessions and the evidence that she just happened to lead them to were maybe coerced or if you don't want to go that far that she was helped along by discovering the evidence. In a letter to her parents Peggy suggested just that, saying "If i send Sweeney to the chair that would be on my mind the rest of my life for taking his life when he was not the one that killed those people"
