The Alaska Earthquake and the Tsunami
The 1964 Alaskan earthquake killed 131 people. The main tsunami swept down the western coast of North America. Aftershocks plagued the region for weeks after the quake. It's entirely possible that many of us will never see an earthquake of this strength again.
