Is the Self an Illusion?
The self is characterized by stable traits that are typical of us and explain our behavior, such as generosity and determination. These traits are largely ponsible for the choices that we make. And because a these choices are determined by these traits, they are largely coherent. They are an expression of who we really are. So i subnmit that this sense of ourselves as having stable traits and making coherent choices is largely an illusion.
