Debtor Creditor Relationships Are One of the Foot Lines of Democracy

In a conventional story about democracy, creditor debtor relationships are its anchor. But we're now in an inner world where they don't anchor domestic democracies. They have the potential to pull them apart and that is a really acute phenomenon of the last 50 years. The things that have grounded them in the past, and often haven't been understood, hav grounded in the past no longer exist any more. This whole other problem which they seem unable to touch, in some sense, that connects to another.
