Can Red Yeast Rice Really Lower LDL Cholesterol?
There is red yeast rice, which has a statin type compound in it. It's not regulated by the FDA so we don't know what's in it as compared to the statin. There are other things that are out there: apples have pectin, they will help lower cholesterol. Eating a healthier diet and getting away from some of the processed foods and heavy meats can help us.
