How Much Time Does It Take to Desaturate?

The FRC is essentially the amount of air left in the lungs after a normal tidal volume breath. When we pre-oxygenate, we fill that FRC with oxygen. And then when we make someone apnech, they can live off that oxygen that's stored there. So if you're using the oxygen faster, like you said, kids do up to three times faster.
