Is Direct Instruction a New Idea?
I'm very comfortable with direct instruction being a pedagogical model, it's not just a single behaviour job done. And then people might say well what is the model? Alright, well let's talk about it. I think there's been around 40 or 50 years, still hasn't landed really in our space. So I'm not going to beat myself up about the fact that people confuse direct instruction instruction. But something that is a game's base that has been around 40 plus years, people still go well that's a new idea isn't it? It's like well it isn't really. These ideas just stick around and incredibly difficult to change.
