Introduction
Each time soda capacity doubles, prices drop by around 20%. This has led to soda becoming about a thousand times cheaper than it was just a few decades ago. Greg Nemare argues that innovation was driven by distinct phases and timing of these was arguably contingent on some key policy and individual decisions. He says there are important lessons from soda PV to apply to other technologies - both within and beyond climate change.
