How Much Grammar Do You Need?

If you have good grammar, you can communicate better. How much grammar one needs depends on your personal goals. A lot of students are also afraid to admit what they really want the language for. I work with a lot of students at language school and always ask this question: What do you want to learn English for? Some of them just need to pass a test, because that will lead to a job in their country. Well, you wants international business or international politics more than asking someone out for a coffee is a hell of a different policy. So it all depends on the students' goals too... Yeah, I'm getting at what I guess he was trying to say there.
