The Role of Ultrasound in MSK Injuries
When it comes to CTs, I think we can all agree that hip and tibial plateau are really the ones that we need to concentrate on. But like Dr. Seale was saying, picking up the phone to the orthopedic surgeon might be a better test than ordering a CT scan. An ultrasound is all about user experience. If you're looking for a rotator cuff tear, even biceps long had tear, I don't think it has value when you're ordering it from the emerge. You need to know who's going to be performing the test.
