The Importance of Fluid Bolus in Emergency Treatment
It was very challenging just to deliver this volume of fluid during this very emergent procedure. The effect estimate favored the no-fluid bolus group, and it's very unlikely that the enrollment of more patients would have revealed a benefit from fluid. So I think together this is pretty convincing evidence that we should not be routinely administering fluid bolus to prevent cardiovascular collapse.
