Tegetle: I think we should divorce is from the utilitarianism. The actual consequence for me of the illusoriness of free will, as i do, is to be much more compassionate and a much less hateful of of bad actors. Ewhe, whenever i find myself hating someone, the consideration that they could not be other than they are puts me in a much more balanced frame of mind with respect to them. And then i can just think rationally about what is consequentially good for me and and for the world.
