I've Been Thinking About the Self-Examination of Happiness and Happiness
Socrates once said the unexamined life is not worth living right. What self-examination does is firstly it forces you to see it for what it is and to say kim nay maybe there's a practical value to the empathy then I will help this other person instead of delving in that empathy or feeling unhappiness can sometimes be an act of self-aggrandizement. For me to be truly happy in the moment I'm wondering if I would have had to tell myself in that moment that I am happy therefore taking myself out of that moment so this is sort of a kind of a conundrum to me.
