How the Tories Managed to Hang on to a Safe Labour Seat
If Labour manage to win 165 seats in 2019, it's a fairly substantial number. It supposedly requires a 12% swing from the current government. In 1974-1979 Parliament, there was a by-election on the same day in both Grimsby and in Asheville. The results ended up being a better guide to the outcome of the 1970s general election.
