Engage imaginatively with scripture and devotional material. This is a practice developed and encouraged by saint ignatius of loyola. For example, the idea that joseph of arimathea's appearance in the gospels is no mere accident. We also tend to find others in the crowds, behaving or reacting in various ways in our imaginations. And watching them helps us to better cluin and anticipate the ideas and questions responses of others.
