"We're, we're scared. I mean, if the lady at the, at the costume will have, take a look at us, we were, we're pale," he says. "Mexico is not a safe place for us." He and his family applied for asylum in Mexico but then had to get through border guards who put them in prison before they could be released. They eventually got help from an American family that helped them make their way to California where they now live.
