Is There Evidence That Cushioning Does Reduce Injuries?

I prefer running in a shoe that is very minimalist because I love the way it feels. My bias is I'm adapting as I'm running because I feel more. But again, there's no evidence that feeling the ground is protective against injury. So cushioning does reduce injuries but certainly the forces are lower.
